Curro is inspired by the horsemanship traditions of Galicia, Spain. Once a year, wild horses are gathered into round structures called curros to receive medical treatment before being released in the wild again. The experimental technique developed for this series of artworks explores the tension between organic and inorganic materials. Through a process of layering, the final figuration emerges. A creative process that takes joy in the unpredictability of the final result.
